Please submit this brief application indicating your interest in and commitment to participating in Influence 100. DESE will select districts using the following criteria:
District commitment to developing a strategic plan that centers equity, including an explicit and intentional strategy around diversifying its educator workforce at all levels.
District commitment to engaging in professional development provided by DESE on a range of topics related to promoting diversity, equity, and inclusion in their districts, including:
School committee commitment to Influence 100, ideally with a public vote, and at minimum by participating in professional development sessions provided by DESE centered on policies that promote equity.
Superintendent commitment to supporting the Influence 100 fellow/s through monthly mentoring and to providing monthly release time for fellow/s to engage in professional development provided by DESE.
Superintendent and school committee commitment to attending a full-day kickoff and program orientation with the Influence 100 Fellow/s.

Statements of Assurance
If selected, we commit to the following:
Select up to two Influence 100 fellows from our workforce following the guidelines provided by DESE.
Provide one day of release time per month to each fellow/s in order to engage in leadership development programming with DESE and the New York City Leadership Academy.
Provide each fellow with at least one day per month of district-based mentoring, including but not limited to shadowing the superintendent, including fellows in leadership meetings/events that can expand the fellow’s learning and professional network, and championing the fellow as they engage in leadership development.
The superintendent/cabinet/school committee will engage in professional development around targeted components of strategic planning for equity led by DESE (approximately 4 sessions per year).
