Gift and Entertainment Approval Form

Reasonable, infrequent gifts and entertainment are acceptable within the framework listed below. However, they cannot be given or received in exchange for business benefits, with corrupt intent, or even have the appearance as such.

The limits on gifts and entertainment are as follows:

Infrequent gifts and entertainment of $50 USD or less are acceptable and no approval is needed;
Anything with an estimated value of more than $50 USD must be approved in advance by your supervisor; or
Anything with an estimated value of $100 USD or more must be approved in advance by Brink’s Ethics & Compliance Group.

Cash or Cash Equivalents (Gift Card, Pre-Paid Card, Gift Certificate) should never be given or received.

This form must be submitted BEFORE giving or accepting gifts and entertainment (including sponsorships) with an estimated value over $100 USD or gifts to/from government officials of any value.

4. Name the Other Party (person or company) that is being offered or is giving the gift/entertainment. *This question is required.

5. Is the Other Party a Government Official or Government Entity?

Definition of a Government Official: employees of state-owned or state controlled commercial enterprises; any officer or employee of a foreign, national, local or municipal government whether elected or appointed; any person acting in an official capacity or exercising a public function for or on behalf of any government or its instrumentality; any officer or employee of a public international organization such as the UN or the World Bank; a member of a legislative branch, judge, customs official, or taxing official; or political parties, their officials, and candidates for public office. *This question is required.

7. Select the relationship that best describes Brink's relationship with the Other Party. *This question is required.

8. Describe as detailed as possible the gift/entertainment. (Example: Two tickets to the movies.) *This question is required.

9. Provide any known reasons for the gift/entertainment. (Example: This is a client team building event.) *This question is required.

10. Provide the total estimated value in USD for the entire gift/entertainment. *This question is required.

11. Provide your name. *This question is required.
