Design in Brisbane - register for updates

Brisbane is a great place to live, work, and relax – it’s a safe, vibrant, green and prosperous city, valued for its friendly and optimistic character and enjoyable lifestyle. Brisbane City Council is carefully planning for a growing city by delivering the 40 actions from Brisbane’s Future Blueprint.

One key Blueprint action is to implement a new design strategy for Brisbane to ensure that as Brisbane grows, we, and future generations, can enjoy Brisbane’s beautiful climate and connect with family and friends in places that make our city great.

Council is also preparing a design guide for Low to medium density residential development. This design guide provides advice and support to encourage quality design of townhouses and apartments (up to five storeys).
