SILAP 2018 - Funding Application

Submission deadline: November 12, 2018

A limited number of subsidies will be made available to assist the participation of students involved in research who may not have sufficient support through their research group. The basic amounts available are CAD $500 towards travel, accommodation (maximum $200 per night) and per diem amounts (up to $55 CAD/day for meals). In all cases, the subsidy cannot exceed actual costs, and receipts must be provided for reimbursement.

Applicants are asked to describe their research and its connection to the conference, give current enrollment status or program of study (e.g., "second-year graduate student"), and a brief, basic, description of the need for assistance from SILAP2018.

In some special cases, the committee may consider recent PhD or DPhil graduates who are seeking their first postdoctoral employment following graduation.
