The deadline to apply to the workshop has passed. Late applications will only be considered if we have cancellations. We will not be able to consider late applications for travel funding.
This form is an application to participate in the Workshop on Mathematical Ecology to be held from June 27-28, 2019 at Queen’s University.
This form can also be used by graduate students, postdoctoral fellows and early career researchers (less than 10 years from PhD) to apply for partial funding to attend this workshop. This opportunity is possible through a grant from the Fields Institute. Note that awardees will need to pay for their expenses ahead of time and get reimbursed after the conference. In selecting attendees for travel support, preference will be given to graduate students who are presenting a poster and/or have no alternate means of support.
Applicants are expected to show evidence of a serious interest in the event's subject matter, as demonstrated by coursework and project experience. We particularly encourage the participation of women and members of underrepresented minorities.
Application Process
Please fill in the form below. Graduate students and postdoctoral fellows need to submit a CV, containing basic information such as degrees earned, current affiliations and list of publications. Graduate students can include relevant coursework, projects, grades, and any other information that the student feels is relevant to support their application.
In addition, graduate students and postdoctoral fellows requesting funding to attend the workshop need to request a supporting letter from a current supervisor. This letter should confirm that the graduate student or postdoctoral fellow is in good standing and briefly describe the applicant's research area. It would also help if the letter could indicate how the applicant would benefit from attending the workshop and why the applicant is in need of a travel grant.
