Confidentiality Policy for Volunteers, Employees, and Board Members

1. Respecting the privacy of our clients, donors, members, staff, volunteers and of Hesed Place itself is a basic value of our organization.  Personal and financial information is confidential and should not be disclosed or discussed with anyone without written permission from the Founder & Director of Services & Programs. Care shall also be taken to ensure that unauthorized individuals do not overhear any discussion of confidential information and that documents containing confidential information are not left in the open or inadvertently shared.

Volunteers, employees, and board members of Hesed Place may be exposed to information which is confidential and/or privileged and proprietary in nature. It is the policy of Hesed Place that such information must be kept confidential both during and after employment or volunteer service. Volunteers and staff, including board members, are expected to return materials containing privileged or confidential information at the time of separation from employment or expiration of service.

Unauthorized disclosure of confidential or privileged information is a serious violation of this policy and will subject the person(s) who made the unauthorized disclosure to appropriate discipline, including removal/dismissal.

Volunteers, staff and board members shall make their best effort to secure all confidential information and records and shall save all work created or performed on Hesed Places behalf in the organizations shared drive. All work performed on behalf of Hesed Place by volunteers, staff and board members shall be considered the intellectual property of Hesed Place. Volunteers, staff and board members agree to not share or discuss Hesed's intellectual property or confidential information with anyone outside of Hesed Place without written permission from the Founder and / or ED. *This question is required.
