Hospital for Special Surgery along with the Arthritis Foundation co-sponsored the Annual Chickie Goldstein Memorial Lecture. This year's topic was Essentials in Managing Rheumatoid Arthritis (RA): Fatigue, Nutrition Joint Protection and Treatments. Rheumatoid Arthritis (RA) is a chronic condition that affects the whole body, but especially causes inflammation and damage to the joints. Advances in research continue to provide information about treatments, RA’s effect on the body and how to maintain a healthy lifestyle. HSS clinicians will discuss essential information about fatigue management, nutrition guidelines, joint protection and current and new treatment options for RA.
