My name is Amy Sabin, I am currently studying for an MSc in Animal Osteopathy at the European School of Osteopathy. I would like to invite you to take part in my research project looking at canine obesity factors by completing an online survey.
The following questionnaire should take around 15 minutes to complete:
A Questionnaire Exploring Canine Obesity Factors and Owner Body Image Perception Using Diagrams
* You may use a phone, tablet or computer to answer this survey, however for ease of use and to get the best view of the diagrams a larger device such as a tablet or computer is recommended.
What is the purpose of this study?
The aim of this study is to find out more about canine obesity with an online survey that asks owners to identify from a set of diagrams what they perceive is an image that best represents their dog’s shape and size as well as their own. Additionally asking what owners think a medical or veterinary professional would recommend as an advised body shape for people and their pets.
Other questions exploring potential contributing factors will be asked to try and get a better picture of why there is an increase in overweight and obese dogs in the UK.
Who have we asked to participate?
- Any dog owner living in the UK that is 18 years or older
- Dogs must be 2 years or older
- Any breed of dog – Male or Female
* Please note that participation is limited to 1 dog per person and 1 participant per household.
Before taking part:
It is important that you take the time to read the 'Information Sheet' provided and you must confirm that you agree to take part by completing an online consent and criteria form.
By clicking the link below a new window will open, to return to the survey close the 'Information Sheet' link page or select the 'surveygizmo' tab.
