Greetings!
Thank you for your interest in attending the 21st Century College Scholars Next Step Conference. The Next Step Conference provides opportunities for Scholars and Alumni to succeed, connect and give back. The goal of the Next Step Conference is to promote persistence and on-time completion of 21st Century Scholars by focusing on personal growth and professional development. By attending, you will learn skills and valuable information that will assist you in pursuing your Next Step.
More specifically, this conference has four goals:
- Academic Performance & Persistence—Assist students in maintaining their drive and motivation towards completion. It is important that students understand that every grade, networking opportunity, impression and effort counts!
- Student Enrichment & Professional Development—Assist students in learning skills that will benefit them as students and professionals: leadership development, cultural awareness, communication, personal development, professionalism, networking, interviewing, etc.
- Graduate School Preparation & Career Exploration—Assist students in connecting their major to their career and developing their career pathway.
- Financial Literacy & Debt Management—Educate students on budgeting as undergraduate students, graduate students and/or as a new professional as well provide information on understanding debt management and paying student loans.
