1. Frank H. Krusen, MD, Lifetime Achievement Award
This is the Academy's highest honor. Recipients are selected on the basis of their outstanding and unique contributions to the specialty.

The nominee should:
  • Be an AAPM&R member who has made outstanding and unique contributions to the field of PM&R in the areas of patient care, research, education, and administration, and has served the profession through involvement in Academy activities

2. Distinguished Clinician Award

The nominee should:
  • Be an AAPM&R member who has demonstrated excellence in scholarly teaching and physiatric patient care
  • Have contributed significantly to the advancement of the specialty through participation in Academy activities

3. Distinguished Member Award

The nominee should:
  • Be an AAPM&R member who has provided invaluable service to the specialty of PM&R primarily through participation in PM&R-related organizations other than the Academy

4. Distinguished Public Service Award
This award may be presented to individuals who are not members of AAPM&R.

The nominee should:
  • Have contributed significantly to the growth and development of educational, research, and service activities that directly impact the specialty of PM&R, and that benefit the nation's citizens with disabilities

To nominate a colleague for the Distinguished Public Service Award, please fill in the following information:
5. PASSOR Legacy Award and Lectureship
The award recipient will present a lecture at the AAPM&R Annual Assembly.

The nominee should:
  • Be an AAPM&R member
  • Have distinguished himself/herself in the field of musculoskeletal physiatry
  • Be in midcareer or later
  • Attain excellence in 3 of the 4 areas: clinical care, national education, national service, or scholarship
