RTD In-State Exemption Form

This exemption from payment of Out-of-District daily parking fees at Regional Transportation District (RTD) parking facilities is available only to a transit patron that recently moved from an address inside Colorado to an address that is located within the boundaries of the RTD service area and has not yet registered his/her vehicle to the new address with the Colorado DMV, and would otherwise, be subject to out-of-District parking fees when parked at an RTD parking facility where parking fees apply. An approved application temporarily exempts the holder from out-of-District parking fees, where applicable, for up to 30 days until the owner of the vehicle registers their plate with the Colorado Department of Motor at the in district address listed on this application. Only one exemption will be allowed per plate, no exceptions. If after the expiration of this exemption the owner of the vehicle has not registered their vehicle with the Colorado DMV at an in district address, the owner will be liable for all daily parking, collection, and attorney fees for the time period of the exemption. An exempt vehicle is treated as an In-District vehicle, not subject to daily charges, but is subject to parking charges after 24 hours. All fees and violations prior to approval of this application are the responsibility of the applicant. Approval/denial will be sent within 24 hours of submission. You must continue to pay "out" of district rates until you get confirmation you have been approved. You will also be responsible for ANY violations you received before the exemption is in effect.

If confirmed by Central Parking System this exemption entitles the exempt vehicle to use RTD facilities under the rules for In-District vehicles; the first 24 hours is free, but each 24 hour period thereafter is subject to a parking fee.
