The City of Alexandria’s Department of Recreation, Parks and Cultural Activities is currently planning for the City’s existing Neighborhood Parks, including parks similar in size and service area to Mount Jefferson Park. Due to the active planning for the Oakville Triangle/Route 1 Corridor, however, planning for the section of Mount Jefferson Park between East Raymond Avenue and Route 1 is occurring in conjunction with that planning initiative. The proposed redevelopment of the Oakville Triangle site is immediately adjacent and will include connections to this section of Mount Jefferson Park.
